Maggie/Magni Reference

A reference folder for my OC, Maggie, a trans femme character based on Magni from Norse Mythology. Growing up Maggie more so resembled her mother, the Jotun Járnsaxa, than her Aesir father, Thor, which made fitting into Asgard society tough. When not teased relentlessly for her appearance, it was for her belief that the Jotun were equal to the Aesir despite what the culture at the time professed. The Aesir might've rejected her if it had not been for her father, a surprisingly compassionate and understanding man when not on the battlefield, and the immense strength she inherited from him. She grew to become a warrior like her brothers and father, though something in her heart had been amiss and it wasn't until long after Ragnarok and communing with the remaining Valkyrie that she came to understand her true identity. She struggles to find the balance between her birthright to the title of "god of strength" and the feminine identity that many believe runs counter to it.
